Wolfhound

The 11-Meter was designed by Ron Holland and Rolf Gyhlenius in 1990.  The 11-Meter One Design was developed in response to the rising costs of keelboat yacht racing. Production began in Sarasota, Florida with an extensive 2-boat testing program to determine the best combination of keels, rudders and sail plan configurations. As a result, this production boat is built all over the world to very tight specifications that include hardware, fiber and fabrication guidelines.

The first boats were shipped from Florida to the Stockholm International Boat show in March 1991. In spite of the bad economy in Sweden during that time, 37 yachts were sold to private owners during that show. In less than 2 years, more than 120 yachts were sold all over the world to enthusiastic sailors.

11-Meters attract world class sailors due to the boat's performance and ease of handling. The 11-Meter One design yacht was awarded the prestigious Silk Cut Nautical Award for best production yacht in 1991.
